Soooo funny! Thanks for summing up a rather terrible day with some much needed humor!
I LOVE the slow churned ice cream bars--they are delictably delicious and 1/2 the fat--how could you go wrong.
Tonight for dinner it is what I call Get Your Own--they really don't get it themselves but everyone gets to choose what they want. One had a bagel, one had a hot dog and the other one and I had a turkey sandwich--I love these days. The eaiser the better!! Go Hot Pockets (love them too--have you tried the Chicken, Spinach, Artichoke one? YUMMY!)!!
Kristina - you blog about chacon, much much needed information. And you knew Rulon the crazy!
Jillene - I'm glad I could help you feel a bit better. I haven't tried the chicken, spinach one.. honestly that sounds terrifying but I bet it's super yummy. And it's Get Your Own every night in my house. Hahaha, a window into my future when I have kids,I'm sure. I want to cook for my husband but when he comes home at 9:30 at night I say, oh Peanut Butter and Jelly sounds good? And he of course loves it cause it's what he eats every single day. :)
I wish I could let Get Your Own fly every night. I can only get away with it twice a week. My husband grew up on a farm and he likes him some meat and potatoes--I'm pretty sure you understand that!
It is hard to cook for 2. When you have kids you will find that the cooking is much eaiser for 4, 5, 6, 7, 8...(did I go high enough?)than it is for 2.
My kids love the Hot Pocket. I don't much care for any prepared food which comes frozen. The breakfast hot pockets aren't bad though, but we had to stop buying them when Costco stopped selling them. The best thing about Hot Pockets is that my kids can fix them by themselves. This can buy me an extra 10 minutes of sleep in the morning, and that's well worth the price of the pockets.
At our house when I don't cook, we call it "fend for yourself" night. My kids will ask Mom, what's for dinner? Or are we FENDING?" For me "fending" usually involves some sort of ice cream.

I've had the opportunity to see Jim Gaffigan, at The Improv, in NYC. It's a pretty small club, so we were quite close to him. He's HILARIOUS.
I might let you touch me when you meet me. ;)
Thanks, Kristina for saying it's Jim Gaffigan. Shame on me for not clarifying that. I posted this rather in a hurry, so that's why.
And who are you? Seriously, you seem to know/have seen everyone. But, I was in the 3rd row for Jerry Seinfeld in June. :) I blogged about it.
Does that come across in my blog? I actually know no one. I've seen a few people here and there, but frankly, my life is pretty boring.
That's why I blog about bacon.
My husband LOVES this. He seriously laughs so hard that no sound comes out. Pretty funny stuff.

So you blogged about food today also?
Too funny! Jim Gaffigan is a riot.
