Then and Now: Christmas Edition

I am back in Idaho. Getting here went smooth and we didn't miss any flights. Read the post before this to hear a horrifying travel story. Jaren actually laughed about it today while we were in the air port in Salt Lake. I didn't. I'm still a bit traumatized, I think. :)

Christmas went very well. It was so very nice to spend time with everyone. We missed my brother Kevin, his wife Lena and their little spitfire, Isak.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas and is still enjoying the spirit of it.

I was on facebook last week and saw that my sister, Lindsey had posted a picture from Christmas 2005 as her profile picture. I took a look and couldn't believe what I saw.

Feast your eyes, my friends.

That's right. Horrifying! I had just lost most (but, as you can see, not all) of my freshman 20. The look on my face is horrifying and really confusing - I don't quite understand it. And the double chin? Ehhh. Lindsey, though..... I think she was mad cause she just got plastic for Christmas and I got a game.

So she had to recreate the picture this year.

It took a few tries and I still don't think I can make that face again consciously. I hope my subconscious has forgotten all together. But Linds, she has the glaring thing down pretty well. I see it a lot, actually.

I am now going to come back into the blogging world! woohoo!

Glad you made it back safely. I think the first picture you look like you are making more of a goofy face than what you are attempting with the second much of a "OMG look what I got"

Wow, I can totally see the difference! And you're tiny anyway, so 20 pounds on you looks like a lot!

Oh my Whit, we watched the news about all of the canceled flights around Christmas and hoped that it wouldn't effect any family. Did I ever tell you about the time I was flying with 6 month old Elijah to Germany. The little flight out of ML was so delayed that the international flight in Seattle was boarded with the door shut, and THEY WOULDN'T OPEN IT!!! I know you can feel my pain. I stood there with my baby and cried. I luckily had a good friend there who got me onto another airline an hour later. The story gets better when I got to Germany, but that is for another time. *G* Glad you made it safe!

Every single Christmas morning picture of me is HIDEOUS because I don't get ready. I wake up and drag myself out there. And I used to wear glasses. Those are some of the WORST pictures I've ever taken.... I completely sympathize!

Not that that's a completely terrible picture of you! (Backtracking.... Backtracking)

Okay just to clear a couple things up...
1. i was not angry i was just joking around glaring not serious glaring like the kind you get ;)
2. that piece of plastic was from your game.. i remembered i opened it and handed you the game.

Linds, hahaha, I was teasing about the plastic. I know it came from my game, I just thought it was funny. And funny that you look like your glaring. Love you! :)

Hahahaha. That's hilarious. How exactly did you lose your freshman 20? (for my own purposes...it was a BAD semester)
