40 lbs Down, 6 to Go

These pictures were taken on Monday.  I had 6 pounds to loose!  But as of this morning I'm down to 5 :)  I'm very excited about this.  Monday I put on a pair of pre pregnancy jeans that used to fit me a teeny bit big, but were still something I wore on a regular basis.  And they fit!  No muffin top; they even became baggy.  Then yesterday I put on another pair and same thing!  I'm waiting till I'm 2 pounds away to try on my smallest jeans.  I don't want to be dissapointed when they don't fit.

VERY EXCITED.  So as of now I'm 105 lbs(again, fake number).  Running 4 miles 3-6 days out of the week.  Fitting into size 4 and size 27 jeans.  Wearing my size small shirts, some are tighter than others.

I'm wondering when I'll hit where my body was before pregnancy.  I don't think the number on the scale will be the same.  I can't decide if it will be before my goal weight or after.  Because the way my jeans are fitting is very similar to how it used to be, but my legs still need to shrink a bit.  As does my stomach.

I can't believe how fast it is all coming off.  I lost 3 pounds in the last week.  And no, I'm not dieting or cutting calories.  Just running and breast feeding!  The sad thing is that all the weight loss and running has brought down my milk production to the point that I need to supplement.  Not with each feeding, just 2 or 3 out of the 5 in a 24 hour period.  But, I started taking more of these "Fen-Gre" pills at each meal and am now pumping three times a day instead of 1 and I can already tell it's coming back up.  When I realized this I didn't quite know what to do.  Do I stop running?  Do I eat even more?  Stopping the running would make me sad.  Not even necessarily because of the weight loss but because I am getting into such good shape!  I can run and run and run without getting tired.  It feels good.  I feel so good througout the rest of the day when I run in the morning.  I've only given Naomi about 4 ounces of formula a day for the last 4 days and she hasn't pooped!  Does it make babies constipated??  I'm working on not needing to do any formula.

Anyway... here are the pictures!  Scroll down a few posts to where I was 10 pounds heavier... it's kind of crazy.

Formula made Brady constipated for a couple of days too, especially since he was also eating cereal. My doctor said you could put an ounce of prune juice in their bottle to help. You look great, by the way. You can't even tell you just had a baby 4 months ago :)

Way to go! I like how the pictures resemble the ones you took when you were expecting. Gives you something to compare to.

Hoping that you can fit into your skinny jeans sooner rather than later,

Hi, I hope this doesn't sound stalker-ish or anything, but my name is Lindzi and I am a good friend of Alexis Treese. I saw your blog on the side of her blog and I recently had a baby also. My baby was born Aug. 9. I have been interested in following your blog because I have been trying to run also to get off the baby weight.
Unlike you, I HATED running before baby. And truthfully I still HATE it, but I hate that extra weight even more. Anyway, I like being able to relate even though I have never even met you! I am up to 3 miles a day (about 30 min) and I can't seem to get past that! It's killing me. I was progressing really well adding 1/2 mile every week or two. But I just can't seem to up any more miles. What do I do?!?!? I am happy with my weight loss (currently less than pre-preg! wahoo!) But I want to try and train for something! How can I do this if I can't even get pass 3 miles? That is like my brick wall and I feel like I might die if I go more! (and I am not dramatic typically! haha)
Anyway, I have been keeping up with your progress and figured it was time to come clean and tell you! Plus maybe you will have some advice.
Also, I have noticed my milk production slacking too, what is the pill you have been taking? I haven't had to supplement yet, but I don't want to get to that point.
You look awesome by the way!

You look so great Whitney!! I can't believe you have only 5 pounds to go, you shouldn't be able to be THAT good! Aren't the boobs heavier because you are lactating? Maybe the 5 pounds is milk, because you look like you did when I first started reading your blog!! SO fantastic!!

Give her some (1 tbs.) brown sugar in her formula... Dawson had the same problem... I called the hospital because he hadn't pooped in 4 days. They said their little bodies can use up most of the nutrients which would mean less poop but if you give them the brown sugar it should come out within 24 hours.

U look good whit just be careful...if it dries up you might laterregret losing it do fast. It took me about 4 months to lose 15lbs while breastfeeding. Partpf the sacrifices we make as mommies..sometimes we stay around with an extra few lbs to keep our babies growing big!

Lena - I'm doing 3 things to bring it back up and I've only been doing them for 2 days and I am noticing a huge difference. My milk is going back up. I only ran 3 times last week - I'm trying to cut back. But I'm not going to let her starve. Going into this I had no idea how fast it would come off or what the effects would be. Now that I know next time around I might go about it differently.
